The project 'Towards shared interests between migrant and local workers,' which SIRIUS consortium members MKC and Solidar are part of, have published their findings. The research consisted of research on the relationship between migrant workers and the local workforce, as there is a lack of solidarity between the two groups, mainly because of negative stereotypes and lack of space to share their experiences with each other. The project used case studies from Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, and the Czech Republic, thus focusing on south and central Europe. The project looked into three themes: precarisation and social citizenship, competition and labour standards, and solidarity in fragmented workplaces.
The research findings can be downloaded from their website.
