The Migration Policy Group will hold a Webinar on 10th October 2023, 15:00 – 16:15 (CET)
The webinar will examine the obstacles that New Europeans encounter in civic and political participation, and discuss how to close the participation gap and to foster a meaningful and comprehensive participation of migrant stakeholders, essential to effective and democratic policymaking.
In this webinar, MPG will present their new report that analyses interviews conducted with New European representatives across the EU on the barriers they face and the suggestions they have for policymakers.
The presentation will be followed by a panel debate involving several of those who contributed to the report research, who will discuss these barriers and potential strategies for overcoming them with each other and with the webinar audience.
The event will close with a presentation of the next steps for the New Europeans Initiative.
