Today, we are keen to share with you the new CERC digital project that narrates the struggle of five Western African migrants to settle in the city of Lagos. Oreva Olakpe, a research fellow at CERC, is the main creator of this interactive and scrolling website that presents results from the investigation project that aims to document the real-life journey of migrants.
Oreva's fieldwork is based on 16 interviews with people who migrated to Lagos from various African countries and then selected five stories for this website. The aim is to represent the struggle behind the migration process within the African continent.
The project is in collaboration with Gabby Resch, Assistant Professor at Ontario University of Technology.
